Wigle for netbook

As my battery on my netbook lasts 8-9 hours and the battery on my phone lasts 2-3 WOuld it be possible making wiggle for laptops and netbooks?

Anyone here from the uk? Whats the best thing to use for logging networks and gps points using a netbook? and where/how often do you collect networks?
