I use a serial Mouse GPS called the DigiTraveler. It was 29 +tax. They are discontinued but you can still find them on occasion at RS and all the time on Ebay
20-1601 (PDA cable, interchangeable) and 20-1602(9pin Serial Cable, interchangeable) in case your interested in them.
