Can't approve new group members

For the past few weeks, I haven't been able to approve the incoming group member requests on the stats page. The "Update Group" button no longer triggers an HTTP request at all, on any of my devices or browsers.

Re: Unable to secure connection with WiGLE

For the past few months, I've just been using the file manager to find the CSV (clicking upload makes a CSV, or you can "export run to CSV" from the database settings) and uploading that via the built-in browser. It's still easier than Kismet on my laptop. Maybe this work-around will help a few ...

Re: Kansas City Area?

Duane is here, too! Awesome!

FYI, KC2600 did move to the Starbucks within Barnes & Noble at Oak Park Mall. This Friday is a meeting night. Personally, I'm always a bit late.

Re: WiGLE Behavior Question...

I'll give it a run, then. It was mostly a bunch of apartment complexes that I hit with a bicycle. I just wanted to make sure it was worth my time first. Thanks again, Bobzilla!

WiGLE Behavior Question...

I recently drove and got several thousand new networks, uploaded them, and then realized that GPSd hadn't been working properly at all. If I re-drive the area with GPS, will I get credit for "new networks found with GPS" or are they pretty much off limits from being claimed forever?

Indeed, but I ASSUMED (lol) that the code for acquiring the locations for Web Maps was probably the similar to what Query does (if not using the same function in your codebase) since the input fields are nearly identical. To clarify, I'd be willing to help code for that functionality (or anything ...

Web Map View suggestion

Could we have a "last updated" query like the list query mode? Unsurprisingly, map view shows networks that are loooooooong gone. This feature (which I assume wouldn't be hard to implement) would fix that.

Sorry it took a while to respond. Yes, you're probably seeing attempts to connect, including automated attachments. You can avoid these automated attachment attempts by not broadcasting your SSID and changing it to something that isn't "default-esque". For instance, I have my wireless LAN hidden ...

New InfoSec/Crypto/Programming/IT Blog - powered by WiGLErs!

Three WiGLErs from the Kansas City area (AsmodianX, Frogman and I) launched a new Blog this past week. We haven't covered the sport of WiFi hunting yet, but we may in the future. I've been kind of heavy into the newLISP programming language and cryptography lately, but there will be a lot of other ...

Watching the screen while driving is a huge no-no. Set up audible alerts for "finds" (almost all major stumbling packages including my fave BSD Airtools have this feature). Then, I take away all temptation by mounting it in the back window with an array of cut-pieces of L-shaped aluminum and some ...

And another one: You actually bought another laptop just for stumbling (yep, count me in.). Guilty as charged on several occasions. For instance, the only reason I bought the Jornada 720 to replace my Jornada 680 was because HPC/2000 works with MiniStumbler. Also, I originally got my Compaq Armada ...
