ok... found the solution after a lot of googling... ncsource=wlan2:type=ath9k,validatefcs=true my NIC obviously reported all frames/packets to kismet without omitting invalid or broken ones. and this is how you can tell kismet not to trust the wifi driver, but instead check them itself. validatefcs ...

I have a little problem with my TP-LINK TL-WN722N (Atheros AR9271) card. It is producing a really weird output in kismet and I can't find any reason why. It's seeing the networks around and even some, that aren't there, a lot of times with different (random) BSSIDs and sometimes slightly different ...

I have a few different devices on which I use the WiGLE Wifi Android App.
Now I want to migrate to a new device and would love to merge my old local databases.
Is this easily achievable, somehow? Is there a script already?

playing around with the web maps today i noticed a small bug with the filters.
filtering by end year of 2014 you only get data till the end of 2013 (url parameter: 'endTransID=20140000-00000') while the captures of 2014 should also be included in the query.
