You can use the Musatcha.com WiFi Mapping Engine to do this. http://www.musatcha.com. I've still got it in alpha though, right now I'm working on a db driven release, so please ignore the crappiness :-).

Most USB GPS devices come with a serial port emulator, which will let the GPS be used on a virtual serial port. Check your manual and driver CD for details, as this varies from model to model.

Next Page link not working for WWWD4

When viewing stats for WWWD4, if you click to go to page 2 or the next page, it brings up the overall stats. The links seem to be missing the 'eventid=1' part of the url.

I think Wigle has some safeguards in place to prevent bogus data from flooding the system. It does checks on geographic location, how often the AP is seen, etc etc. and gives it a quality rating. As for posting Netstumbler files you find online, it probably won't do much good, since they've probably ...

Quality Percentage Question

How is the 'Percentage Quality Locations' calculated? I know it says "Percentage of observations with GPS coordinates and not filtered out", but what would cause an observation to be filtered out?
