Re: 23 years of WiGLE

19 years here and it's been a blast. Amazing how much the WiFi density has grown in that time.

Re: DEF CON 32 RFHS World Wide War Drive

I also had a failed upload when the Q was very full, first time ever since the age of dinosaurs when I first joined Wigle.net. 20240722-00736 It was successful after resubmitting it later. It was just a single device small run which surprised me when I saw the failure. S24 Ultra with Wigle WiFi 2.86 ...

Re: Feature request - Group stats monthly participation / inactive user management

I think removing any user from a group they joined (auto or manually) would be a mistake. Life happens and people take breaks from projects from time to time. I certainly have. I always came back bigger and better than before. A user that's targeted to be removed will not be happy about it and could ...

Re: Plot Error

Like many resources, the mapping infrastructure is suffering from the current wave of attempted abuse. In general, scrolling, zooming, and refreshing taxes it further. Does this account for why maps are not showing at all today on the home page or on the big map page even when doing a specific city ...

Where's Dutch's poking stick when you need it? (grin)

Re: Looking for ideas on how to start a huge wardriver movement in New Caledonia because no one has discovered it here

Hi Vin38281. You need to attract the attention of like minded people in that specific location. I'd try computer forums of all kinds, like Android, Raspberry Pi, Linux,. etc. Explain what you do and why and you can point to WiGLE.net so they can see the effort is world wide. Emphasize how easy it is ...

Now that's a mental image I didn't want. Oh wait, you were talking about your young son. Yeah, that's it.

Hmmm, now there's a stat I "wasn't" watching although a few Netstumbler group members may have thought I uploaded that much in one week.

I asked because I have a high school friend in Tulsa with a '68 Cessna 172 with in-laws in MO. <grin>

Very nice . Hmmm, what are the odds . . . . ? Is it possible that '68 Cessna is an ex-pipeline patrol plane with a pilot named Terry?

Hahaha, right. All you do is count networks when wardriving. Never with the intention of connecting to them. Every post you make shows just how clueless you really are. You true intentions are clear. You want to learn how to be a thief. Nobody is going to help you here. (The answer to that ...

Re: good god man

do you have any concept of how long it takes to count these things by hand?
we'll be lucky if we get there by 8MM and have to start all over!
I've heard there are some election workers in FL that can count reasonably well if you need extra help. Just think what the maps would look like.
