Re: Pixel update RQ3A.210905.001 breaks GPS

Of course I came here after I installed the update and ran into the issue. ☹️ I also found that I had to turn off the Wi-Fi scan throttling developer option again after the update. I'm happy to try gathering debug data of that would help.

Omni with a ground plane

Any of the mag-mount omnis intended for mobile use should be okay. For best results, you should mount the antenna on a cookie sheet or other sheet metal to provide a ground plane.

How about Comfoolery?

Comfoolery does this. It's shareware with a nag at startup if you don't contribute. See Agent Green's site for info on setting it up. It works for me, but I find it occaisionally drops data, so I tend not to use it when stumbling.

The change will make it harder for me to screw up. Thanks! One other thing--I used to use the Back button when I had multiple files to post, but since you added the header links to the response page, I used the Post link there, which takes me to the post page as anonymous. The post page it took me to showed my identity as ...

PC card CF GPS

Here's a site I found with some pretty low cost hardware:

http://www.semsons.com/gpshardware.html

But like the others on this thread, I'd like to hear from someone who has experience with some of this hardware.

Using GET for queries

If you changed the form at http://wigle.net/gps/gps/GPSDB/query/ to use method="GET", it would be possible to bookmark query results in a browser.

Kind of convenient...

Thanks again for the service!

Expose wigle data as XML?

Any thought of adding an XML output format to the database. Seems like it would be pretty simple and would make it easier to access the data with XML aware tools. I'm happy to help, if needed.

Thanks for a neat service!
