Hi Forum,

i don´t know if this has come up before, but for my use case it would be handy to have the possibility, to define an area around a GPS coordinate where even if i scan, every device in this area will not be put in the database.

Just to avoid, that after 5 years 45000 devices show up in my little country house....with nothing around.

Thanks

noooo.... the 45000 devices are not stolen

This is something you can automate with Tasker and similar programs.

I have to ask: are you just leaving it running in your house? Are these all bluetooth randomized addresses or something else?

No, not on purpuse.... normaly i start the app when i leave town for work, shopping etc. Wigle is always on,until i reach me small town again. But sometime i forget and then 25 BT devices appear on the map as well as 5 APs, etc. And like I said, this accumulates over time. No, I have no changing MAC address,I am pretty sure i disabled it,but other people don`t how visit us!

When i add a MAC address to the filter, will the retroactive delete the db entry?

no, there's no functionality in the app right now that deletes anything from the DB.

As always, pull-requests are very welcome on GitHub!
