Easter egg in WiGLE's map?
Hee, nice find. I wonder if it happens to be really called that, or if it's an easter egg in the Tiger data.
Same street appears in Delorme 2005... It could very well be a real street.

It could be the cartographer's "watermark". In order for a cartographer to prove un-authorized copying and use of their maps, they'll put in roads that don't exist or make a name for their driveway, etc.
This way they can prove in a court if someone copied their map without permission.

I just had a look using google maps, and it appears that the road is really there... no name associated with it in the map though. I'd probaly have to side with it being a watermark, but it may really be called that.

The question is, since TIGER data is free, what interest would they have in watermarking it? /me breaks out his tonifoil hat and big book of conspiracy theories.

I don't see how that could possibly be the "road to grandmas house". There is no river and it barely meets the "through the woods" requirements!
