How smart is WiGLE when it comes to bad GPS data?
My GPS has the unfortunate habit of returning the same value over and over instead of an 'invalid' number when it doesn't have a lock. I noticed this when I was looking at the text output of my last NetStumbler run - half of the APs were on exactly the same coordinates!
Is this something that's compensated for (will it ignore the entries?) or do they need to be removed or something?
Thanks! And sorry about the bad data, I should've checked if I had a GPS fix. Oh well, it WAS 3:00 AM.

it depends.
over time bad data is weeded out. exceptionally bad data is caught by a series
of filters. if you have a specific transaction id you want monkeyed with, send an email to us at wigle-admin[at]wigle.net

Take a look at the world map: http://wigle.net/images/rigled-images/world.png
I doubt there is a 1000 kilometer stretch of APs in Antarctica

Unless the lunatics at McMurdo have setup a WiFi Mesh network to track Penguins, I think you're rightTake a look at the world map: http://wigle.net/images/rigled-images/world.png
