Debian linux and kismet
I downloaded debian 4.04 and installed it to my wardriving laptop that was previously running netstumbler. Kismet and gpsd were not included. They were not in the package manager list, so I typed sudo apt-get install gpsd and it said that the package was not found and did the same for kismet. I am trying to get a Delorme LT-40 running in debian. If this is not possible please let me know? What is the problem?
I would recommend using this gpsd....

I have always used it, even after updating kismet. It is solid as a rock.
You can probably find a lot of answers to your questions if you search that forum. I also recommend reading the rules over there, if you haven't joined yet.
