Wildcard searching on BSSID

It appears the server-side validation for searching by BSSID requires "[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}". Is there a mechanism to use a wildcard for searching common BSSID prefixes (e.g. the first 5 or 5.5 bytes)?
