I have so many questions about this, I don't know where to begin.

Despite the article title, I don't see anything on St. Jude's site that indicates "802.11b/g/Pre-N". They just say "RF wireless", calling it "InvisiLink® Wireless Telemetry".

The transmitter station needs to plug into a PHONE LINE, so it's not on your network or apparently the internet all the time.
