Perhaps you've heard of the recent Consolidated.db news, where iPhone/iPads will sync wifi and cell location information to a certain file on the host computer? Finally, a way to netstumble on an iOS device without having to jailbreak it! The WiGLE parser will accept these files, details on the File Posting page.

Great. Thanks. Maybe this will help keep me on top 100 for a bit longer.

I think the database stalled. Maybe something wrong with the parser?

Aye, ran into an unhappy file. Bumped up the error handling, now running again.

Thank you for the quick fix. Really amazing. Got 80,846 new networks with GPS (and I use wifi-where whenever I go new places). Bumped me from 100 place to 36. My girlfriends phone only had about 400 networks. Guess it helps running Latitude and always having wifi on.

Will we see a cache.cell and cache.wifi parser for those with rootet Android phones? For those who are interested, there is good information here:

Are weird "circles" of wifi networks that just started appearing in the maps (with censored SSID's) becacuse of improper consolodated.db files?
See the example linked below (zoom out to see how un-natural it looks, zoom in to see the SSID names are incorrect).

Yes, the bubbles come from consolidated.db files. Apple is pushing that data to devices from their own backend database, which apparently results in some wacky looking results.
