Can we see statistics on how many APs use each channel? I'd be interested to know.

I'd be guessing that 1, 6 and 11 are the most used, but I'd like to know about the other channels.

I agree. A quick query (I'll work on making it part of the standard ones):

| channel | count |
| 1 | 918407 |
| 2 | 76020 |
| 3 | 126318 |
| 4 | 90679 |
| 5 | 81239 |
| 6 | 4094986 |
| 7 | 121962 |
| 8 | 108927 |
| 9 | 217852 |
| 10 | 310969 |
| 11 | 1954843 |
| 12 | 6929 |
| 13 | 12536 |
| 14 | 2268 |
| 34 | 61 |
| 36 | 198 |
| 40 | 120 |
| 42 | 4 |
| 44 | 99 |
| 48 | 84 |
| 52 | 600 |
| 56 | 274 |
| 60 | 225 |
| 64 | 274 |
| 149 | 97 |
| 153 | 56 |
| 157 | 48 |
| 161 | 80 |

We get a lot of crazy values as well, so as with any stats, grain-o-salt

Nice. I dropped it into Keynote, and made this in about 10 seconds :)

Wow, channel 6 is popular... (I'm a channel 1 person myself, I'd otherwise be using 13, but two things here have US wireless cards in them...).

It's as I suspected with regards to 802.11a though. I tried stumbling in that once, found one network in an hour...

Can Keynote do a Logarithmic Scale? That'd make channels other than 1/6/11 more differentiated than in a linear scale.

Not specifically, but I could just find the log of all the data points, and graph them.

I didn't actually save that file though... I'll recreate it soon.

Nice.

Hey, who found the other AP on channel 42 since last time? :)
