If this is your only correspondence with the admins of this site, you probably just hit a road block. You might want to explain in a little more detail what you are trying to do, and possibly read this (WIGLE - EULA).

Based off of what I have read so far, there is no reason to be using WIGLE's data. You aren't suppose to just help yourself to connect to any wifi you so please to connect to. You are suppose to ask permission. WIGLE is not a database to search for wifi to connect to, as no permission has been given from any network listed within.

I'm also really confused as to what the colors in this particular project mean, as they just look random, and there is no explanation.

You obviously just found WIGLE today (apparent by your blog post), but you didn't do any research as to what it is. And you want to use it for your research?

Thanks for your reply.
My goal is not to connect to the wifi network.
My goail is to visualize the wifi network in different cities and bssid is public information and unique so I choose bssid to represent the wifi network.
I want to make bssid code more readable by human so I translating the code to web page hex coding of color.
Because the bssid code is composed of vendor code and manufacture seirual number, the color is not random but relate the relationship between vendors and wi-fi providers.
The final urban wifi color paintings are like landcape paintings in traditional art.
I have found this site in this morning and found the records in this site including bssid code.
I think it is helpful.
I have read eula, but I am not sure. So I the leave my message here.
If this violates the rule and term of this site, I hope to have your forgiveness.

wigle is not a connectivity database, but a collection of observed radio beacons.

use of wigle data is subject to the EULA, (so no commercial use, and no redistribution). but we ourselves are amateur cartographers, and are certainly in favor of alternate visualizations of the data (again, subject to the license.)

if your project is redistributing wigle data, that's a non-starter.

My project is for my degree dissertation and it is not commercial.
I am not sure my visualization is redistributed for eula or not, because the information in the final works will be only colour and city.
I have been collecting the points in Chicago now and won't use the data in this site until having your permission.
