what does Variance (+/- degrees) mean in Query?

what does Variance (+/- degrees) mean in Query? After I do a query there by different Variance, there r different number of stations. but sometimes, they all reach 11000 stations and I'm not able to see the next 1000. What r the real number of stations in a paticular Variance?
