If I join a group do they get credit for my uploads? I mean to say that I want my uploads to count towards my ranking first, then my stats can also be applied towards the stats of the group. Is this the way things function?

Don't hold me to the first part, but I think if you've never joined a group before, the first group you join gets credit for your uploads.

I do know this to be true - the credit you earn with a group stays with that group. In other words, you get to keep your individual credit - but the group credit stays with the group you earned that credit with - it's not transferred to the new group. I did this myself recently, knowing my group credit wouldn't transfer to the new team, but was returning after a multi-year hiatus and since then my old team had kind of dropped off with the group effort.

What are you using to war-roam with? Doing it by car, foot, bike?

I have wigle running all the time when I leave the house, driving, walking, but the most I collect is when I am cycling. Which is pretty much all of my free time.
