Changing SSIDs to "_" after uploading gpsxml?
Hi,
I am wardriving using kismet on linux.
This gives me two files, netxml and gpsxml.
I used to upload the netxml files only, but started to experiment with gpsxml yesterday.
I noticed that some networks, which were correctly visible on the map previously changed their SSIDs to "_" (without the quotes).
I have an example bssid here, but only would give it via private message.
I noticed this behavior for some other networks as well. WiGLE or is my data given by kismet corrupt? How can the SSIDs be restored? Should I stop uploading gpsxml or is there any benefit by uploading both netxml and gpsxml (more accurate data maybe)?
Thank you!

I just noticed that the data at https://wigle.net/search is still valid, but on the map (main page) it is displayed as descriped above. It seems like this is a WiGLE-bug and data is still valid in database.
Futhermore I noticed that SSIDs containing a "<" character aren't display correctly. Instead of < a < is displayed in SSID, e.g. female_name <3 -> female_name <3

The problem with the empty SSID on the map has been around for over a year:

You're right about the correct data being returned in a search.
