Pardon the small interruptions
Over the course of the last three days, we've cut WiGLE over to a new backing API - the same API we hope someday to expose for user consumption! Please pardon the many small interruptions and errors that accompanied our testing, and please tell us in the forums if you spot anything broken!
I noticed two things:
1) I am not really sure whether this is a bug or just an ugly new design, but the header looks different:
old one (forums): https://abload.de/img/bildschirmfotovom2016a1ugi.png
new one (everywhere else): https://abload.de/img/bildschirmfotovom2016a3saa.png
The "new design" is also in uploads page, which makes the table of files where small and diifucult to read.
2) When there is a file queue in upload, the position of the file isn't showed anymore; only the status "queued for processing" and "0%" are visible. Position is not available in app also.

Hey there, thank you for the feedback!
The header being different was actually the result of a mini-project to port the design over to Twitter's bootstrap, so that the pages would render cleanly on mobile devices. Tell me a bit about what you think is uglier, maybe I can get a little closer to the old look and feel?
The uploads table *should* be improved a little bit (please make sure to clear your cache)... keep pointing out places where bootstrap has negative effects on layout, I'll be happy to remove some its built-in styling where it makes things worse instead of better.
The upload file queue was dumb mistake - just the kind of things we appreciate you telling us about. It should be fixed now, can you verify?
Thanks so much for the good feedback

I appreciate updates on the page, keep the good work! :)
The design is a little different than the old one. The distances between the elements are too big so that much space is wasted. The old design wasted only a little space (http://fs5.directupload.net/images/161103/dmhcfs4p.jpg) while the new one wastes so much, that the upload table begins at 2/3 of the page: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/161103/8ph6r6vw.jpg .
Furthermore the new header has no dividing lines: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/161103/ciq7jw3p.jpg
Old one had more shadows which made a quick and simple navigation possible.
Dropdown menus in "View" an "Info" used to open by mouseover, while now you have to click on the buttons.
The font size in general is very small, especially here -> https://wigle.net/stats#personalstats
I will check the queue next time I upload files. I will give feedback!
Another bug: While navigating on the map and some contents are still loading you cannot click any header element, because the cursor is still the grabbing hand from moving the google map. This fixes itself as soon as the map is fully loaded. But when internet connection is interrupted navigation is not possible (tested with Vivaldi Browser 1.5.654.3).
Thank you for efforts! :)

Website queue work perfectly :)
Glad to hear it!
I've restored the lines between items as well as the dropdown-on-hover behavior (other members of the WiGLE team agreed quite strongly with you on that one). I'll continue to work on individual pay layouts - this was a pretty "bare metal" cut over, but the advantages is that it provides us are 1. a scalable grid layout system and 2. responsive layout, so hopefully we'll make the pages fit all displays better with those tools at our disposal.

I have now noticed a problem with the android app not updating, as reported at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2371
Is there a connection between this problem and the new backing API?
Could someone have a look, please.

Thank you for that.
Yes it now does work as before.

I just noticed that under Statistics -> Groups the coloumn "Total WiFi seen" isn displayed. I suppose that this is a bug. Please fix :)
Yikes. that's not off by just a little. Looking at the data, I think we actually have a bug in the stats update job, not the new API... but never fear, we're on the case.
Thanks for the heads-up!

Just found a small error on the main page (not the map): http://fs5.directupload.net/images/170131/ydw5dadg.jpg
:)
:)
oo, that's an ugly one. I can't reproduce it, but it's technically possible. Can you confirm:
1. are you logged in when this happens
2. does it persist on page refresh
3. with what browser does it happen
4. does it happen on the maps page as well?
Thanks!

1) I noticed that it doesn't matter. Happens when logged off also.
2) Sometimes. Could reproduce only once in Forefox (logged off), but it persists to happen in Vivaldi.
3) It happens with Vivaldi Browser 1.7.735.11 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit) and Firefox 51.0.1 (64-Bit) --> http://fs5.directupload.net/images/170131/3id238wd.jpg
4) No, it doesn't - never seen it there.
